Rabbit anti-human Microfibril-associated glycoprotein 4 (MFAP4) PolyClonal antibody

MFAP4 encodes a protein with similarity to a bovine microfibril-associated protein. The protein has binding specificities for both collagen and carbohydrate. It is thought to be an extracellular matrix protein which is involved in cell adhesion or intercellular interactions. The gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region. MFAP4 shares a high level of sequence identity with the partial sequence of a bovine 36-kD microfibril-associated glycoprotein identified by Kobayashi et al. (1994) and thought to be a Ca(2+)-dependent adhesive protein associated with elastin (ELN) microfibrils in the extracellular matrix. Northern blot analysis of human tissues revealed wide expression of MFAP4, with highest expression in heart, lung, ovary, and small intestine and lowest expression in peripheral blood leukocytes, liver, thymus, and brain.
 

The antibody is a Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against MFAP4. It has been selected for its ability to recognize MFAP4 in ELISA Kit and western blotting.
 

WB=1:100-500 ELISA=1:500-1000 Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
 

Store at -20°C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-8°C.
 

Shipped at 2-8°C. Upon delivery aliquot and store at -20°C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
 

0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.
